Regrets

I was talking with a friend today and we were discussing regrets...some of us have them, some of us don't. And you could definitely say I have a few. But I admit I am really impressed with people that have No Regrets. It got me thinking, "Wouldn't that be a weight off my shoulders? To have none myself." Well, it inspired me to get a few of these suckers off my chest and maybe ease my burden a bit.

1) Every single time I have peed my pants. Too many times to count.
2) My super-tight curl permanent, combined with my much too short haircut when I was in the 1st grade. It looked something like this...minus the red color.

3) My entire 8th grade year where I chose to wear brown eyeshadow from lash to brow.
4) When I cut my own bangs that same 8th grade year...not my best year obviously...
5) My first kiss with Wally. Awww, Wally. We were doomed before we began.
6) The time I went out with the guy who had a permed mullet and wore a wife-beater every day.
7) Any time I have worn spandex. In public. Even more specifically the one time I wore hot pink shimmery Camo spandex. In public.

Phew!!! I feel better already. Feel free to unload any regrets you might have with me.

I like the spandex comment considering all the spandex we wore in drill team. Barf!! I can't believe I would wear that in public.

i wish i could take back the "electric blue" mascara that i wore my entire senior year.

The pink spandex had to have been a dance costume. You forgot to mention dancing with chairs and nunchucks- yep did my home work that is how you spell it.

i regret moving from austin right before you moved there! :) cuz i know we woulda been tight.

other regrets include but are not limited to:

-farting in front of a super cute guy in highschool and then blaming it on my best friend. to this day, everyone still thinks it was her. i'm lol right now. gosh, i am cruel!(and maybe you are glad i moved away from austin now....)
-trying out for cheerleader in 7th grade. PATHETIC. me=dweeb with braces, utter paleness and a horrid perm. how did i ever think i could pull off cheerleader?
-not being more outgoing when i moved from home 4 1/2 years ago. i was scared and didn't open up to people. i didn't make good friends until just a few months before leaving austin! me=loser.
-not using tucks on our trip to disneyland 4 years ago. not even going to go there....
-i'll stop there. you get the picture. my life is full of regets! yea me!

Okay, I had that same hair do in that color (hee!) I regret ever wearing my favorite red shirt with metallic gold polka dots and..... matching hair bow in 7th grade. I am happy I restrained myself from wearing it on picture day!

Alright Kristi, your blog is hysterical! I love it!

My regrets? I used to work for an attorney in Provo who was telling me about this woman in his neighborhood whom he considered to be less than a model parent. He said that she was the type of person who went from bar to bar ... and I chimed in "Oh, you mean a gymnast?"

If it makes you feel any better I am sure that I probably adored both your eyeshadow and bangs in 8th grade.

my motto has always been in relationship to my trials and mistakes is "i have gained far more from this experience than I could have ever lost".... not sure what you could have ever gained from your super short perm doo or sport'in spandex but I am sure there us a sliver lining in there somewhere. No regrets, never.
