Baking...

As I have been adjusting to having three children (with my little guy in my arms at all times) I am still trying to figure out how it all works. Take baking, for example. The other day I was determined to be able to make cookies--even if it was one-handed--no matter what! I love me some Peanut Butter Blossoms! :) So, I am holding Preston in my left arm all the while I am stirring and measuring and mixing with the other. And as I gently place those sweet cookies in the oven, I also gently drop Preston's pacifier directly into the bottom of my oven. And those puppies bake very well at 375 degrees!! So, wouldn't you know I can hold a baby and bake cookies at the same time. And if a pacifier is a casualty of that, then so be it. I am OK with this. Preston? He's not such a fan of baked pacifiers.

But the cookies tasted fine, so it all worked out in the end.

haha, well, we've all got to make some sacrifices. if preston has to take one for the team in the name of pb blossoms, so be it! :)

looks delicious--the pacifier that is. It seems the aroma might've enhanced the flavor on the nipple (a word I specifically used just for you) part.

have you tried wearing a bjorn while doing cooking chores? that's how i lived for a very long time!

Ha! That's awesome! Totally worth losing a bink for those cookies!

Yay for Preston for making that sacrifice - I had some of those peanut blossoms (I KNEW they were yours!) -- and now I know what the slight taste of pacifier was. ha!

Love you!

I'm with Lena. The only way I survived was with a front carrier. Too bad Zay is now too big and quirmy and into things to fit into one.

Way to take one for the team Preston!!! Mmmm peanut butter blossoms. Amazing how it landed in the middle of the oven.

at first i thought i read, "i also gently dropped Preston" and was like, whaat?! that poor child! :) glad it was just the pacifier. . .

Mmmm, one of those cookies was the first thing I grabbed me at the potluck. Thanks for the sacrifice!

I have to echo Lena...have you tried the Bjorn? My kids LIVED in the Bjorn, and I honestly can't think of how I would've functioned in the house without it.

That is awesome! I love your Peanut Butter Blossoms. I would probably sacrifice a paci for some too! So glad to hear that it didn't permanently burn onto the bottom of your oven!
