Happy 4th o' July!!!

Aaaahhhh, the 4th of July came upon us once again. This is a time to celebrate our country's Day of Independence. A time for family and friends to gather. A time for BBQ's and watermelon.

And a time for fireworks.

Which, for the Wright Family, also means a time for a whole lot of crying, wailing, and "Is it gonna get me? It's gonna get me!!!" "I'm scared!!!" and "Waaaaahhhh, waaaaahhhh!"

It's a joyous time of year...I hope you had a good one.

Giggling over here! Leave your kids be..if they're scared, then they're scared...just don't give Brinley a balloon on top of madness ;0)...Happy 4th!

our 4th didn't consist of crying kids... we plunked them in bed on time. then... we lazed around on the couch til it was time for fireworks & then hojo & i hit the arctic circle & went to watch the st. george fireworks up by the airport. it was rocking good times. and so was my chocolate shake w/brownie... mhmm. now i'm drooling for more.

in the past, my kids have been scared too. i remember aubrey running for her life after fireworks a couple of years back. ahhh, good times. now we know to just keep our distance from them so they aren't too loud. then we all good.

Yeah, we had some weeping and wailing over here as well. I told them to get over it. Luckily the hubby is a lot more sensitive.

Amazingly enough, Millie is not afraid of fireworks...as long as there are no animals around, we're good.

been there, done that. i think last year was the first time Eli didn't get scared (he just turned 8). So, it might get better the older they get (there's no guarantee on that!)

We are feeling your pain over here. After last year's ordeal we skipped the "big show." My kids sat inside and watched a movie while everyone else's kids enjoyed our neighborhood show.
