Today I was thinking about how much I would love to have a Roomba. This liitle robot goes around the house vacuuming and mopping the floors for me. How sweet would that be? Ok, so I would have to buy two different ones to accomplish this, but still, this would be so nice. Now if only I could find a Roomba to do my dishes and my laundry...

Those are very cool!! If (and when) I replace my carpet with hardwoods, that is a must have.
i have 2 sisters who have one... they're freaky. always breaking. talk to holly - i dont know if she would recommend...
Okay, I have had a roomba for a couple years now. At first, it was the greatest thing ever. Seriously, I thought it was the most fantastic find. And it is. But it does have a lot of technical issues. Customer service is great, covers the first year of issues. They even replaced mine just before the year was up. But that was only about 5 months ago and as I type this, my sweet little roomba is on the fritz again. Don't think I would buy again, to be honest. Sorry if I have ruined all your hopes and dreams.
Oh man, that's disappointing! But I'm glad you let me know--better to know before I buy :)
Oh man don't tell me that!! I'll have to talk to my friend about her's too. Maybe it's just Holly's and everybody else's in the world is fantastic. Give a girl some hope.
heather - talk to heidi!
Everyone I know with a Roomba has issues with it. It doesn't work on carpet, so you need a lot of hard surface for it to be worth your while. I still love mine, it is just a pain to get it fixed. Most local vacuum repair place don't work on Roomba. Actually, I can't find a single one here in town. You have to ship it to the manufacturer. They are fast, but it gets expensive shipping this thing every 6 months.
i need a roomba that's designated to follow mason around all day. that boy is like pigpen from charlie brown. he's a mess!
i just burst out laughing thinking of a cloud of dust and muck following around an actual child. hehe
