Allow me to interrupt my endless string of pictures of my family to tell you about something I'm pretty pumped about because I am a huge Jane Austen dork! Huge!!PBS is airing The Complete Jane Austen (with four newly adapted movies of Persuasion, Northanger Abbey, Mansfield Park & Sense and Sensibility) and they're airing starting January 13th—and they will air through April 6th!!! How awesome is that?
The ssssshedule looks like this:
Jan 13th --- Persuasion
Jan 20th – Northanger Abbey
Jan 27th – Mansfield Park
Feb 3rd – Miss Austen Regrets (a bio on Jane Austen)
Feb 10th, 17th & 24th – Pride & Prejudice :) Mr. Darcy's in the hiz-ouse
Mar 23rd – Emma
Mar 30th & Apr 6th – Sense and Sensibility
My dorky little heart is going pitty-pat like you wouldn't believe :) I am so excited!!!! More exclamation points are necessary!!!!!

if loving jane austen is dorky, i don't want to be cool. and may i also say i am stoked to hear about a new version of persuasion. although i do want to marry the guy from the old persuasion. but still. can't ever have too much persuasion.

This sounds so exciting. I don't have Tivo but will have to squeeze it into my peaceful Sundays. Sometimes I wish I could live during that era.

Confession: I've never read or seen a Jane Austen piece of work. Really, as much as a book dork I am, I haven't a clue as to what her stories are about. Yet, I'm intrigued with the hoopla and will start reading it ASAP! Any suggestions on where I should start?
