Hey, Hey

Hooray! Back to blogging and loving every minute of it—Tara, you can stop your boycott now! :) hee.

It's been a non-stop party over here in Austin, Texas when "The Jan-et" comes to town (except don't call her Janet because she likes to be called "Jan!") It's Target over here, Outlets over there, Barton Creek Mall in the middle, with a little Sea World & Austin Ice Cream Festival sprinkled for taste.

I have to say the highlight of our time together (besides the Outlet Mall, because it rocks my world) was Sea World. I've blogged about it before, but I'll blog about it again…it rocks.
I mean yeah, the "whales," "dolphins," and "sharks" are cool, but Sea World has so much more to offer those who are willing to open up their eyes.

For example:

Men who choose not to shave their backs (This guy & a couple of his brothers were there and I'm not kidding!)

The Zip front Neon swimming suit (Holla to the 80's ladies! This picture isn't even that bad--the true zip front suit had much more neon green going on & much more zipper)

Mesh—in any form (I have to be honest: I've never really understood mesh, but maybe it is an underappreciated fabric...)

Truly, though, I LOVE San Antonio. This is where MY people are...here's why: I heard San Antonio was rated the fattest city in the nation recently, meaning...it's OK to be me in San Antone!! The above statement is not only true, but it is confirmed by me during our short trek there. And believe you me, I am not judging you, San Antonio. I embrace you, as you have learned to embrace yourself. Never have I seen shame triumphed over like I did that day. You want to wear a bikini two sizes too small? You go right ahead! You want to wear your swimsuit as if it is the last item of clothing you possess on this earth….right on, Sistah! What? No shorts to cover that boo-tay? No problem…

So, being mother of the year, I forgot to bring my camera (thanks for the memories) but I'm going to steal Shelly's pictures and post them asap…

As always, it breaks my heart to see my Mom go back to Idaho, but I am always glad she gets to come and stay for a little while :)

Oh no you didn't just post a pic of Vito's brother Vinny!! ;) I wish you hadn't posted that hairy pic because I can't get that image out of my head. Must find a happy place!

So good to hear you enjoyed San Antone!!

Hooray you're back! We've missed you. Wow San Antone huh? That sounds like my kind of place. I am in the market for a new swimsuit and was hoping to go down a couple of sizes, my current suit conceals way too much cottage cheese;) Glad you had fun with your momma. I am always sad when my mom leaves too. I get used to not seeing her and then after a visit I'm all bummed.

dang woman...it was getting cold over here :)
please don't ever leave us again. ever.

Sea World is DA BOMB. Grace prefers it to Disney. It's always such a good time. I could sit through the shows again and again. Glad you got to go, and that you got to have your momma there for awhile, AND that you captured Sasquatch man on camera for the rest of our viewing pleasure. THAT nasty man ALONE makes me wanna pack my bags and move so that we can be neighbors/BFF's. Imagine the possibilities...:)

Glad you are back to the blogging world. Oh my that man with the "sweater" is something else. And why do butts sweat? Sometimes I'll get off the spinning bike and it looks like I've had an accident! Too funny!

Well my comment on the butt sweat needed to be in the next post, but you know what I meant.

We lived in San Antonio for 2 years before moving to Austin. Great place to visit...big dirty fat city to live in. I hated living there, but love visiting! Sea World is so fun.

i felt the same way last time we went to sea world. lots of whales. and i don't mean shamu. glad you had so much fun with your mama and i'm glad you're finally back to the important stuff! :)

YEAHHH!!! I finally got my laughter in for the day. :) Okay...I don't believe you saw a guy that hairy. And Sea World is fun, but I'm not quite sure why parks like that attract the kind of people with swimsuit issues. I'm sure it's not just a San Antone problem but at the same time I can't say because I've never been there.

you don't disappoint!!! So happy to see you back!!! Now could you bother that pesky sister of yours to start her blog, I got her totally hooked up with nice folders for pictures, new fonts, and away we go.. We have to work hard here, well and we might both need her password, you know how special she is.
I needed your humor!! you rock.

I love VISITING San Antonio. No wonder people live LARGE there. So much good food so little time. Sea World is fun, but I love shopping and eating on the Riverwalk.
