…I said I was a sweaty, sweaty man? Well, in case I had forgotten, I reconfirmed it yesterday.
That picture is really what I looked like…nice. I decided to clean out my garage because—well, let's just say I'm not winning the "most organized mother of the year" award this year. Note to self: do not clean out the garage in August weather in Texas. My shirt was drenched! It was pretty humiliating damp when Nolan walked in and was like, "Ooooh gross." Thanks baby. It was, though, so I can't fault him for that. Oh well, I still got a lot done, although not completely. I LOVED throwing things away! It's very therapeutic. (Mom, embrace this!!) Like why do I save old bills or my kids drawings? Just kidding. Do you guys have those boxes from high school, though, that has your letter from band Basketball, or your tapered jeans report cards? Or am I weird for having that box around still? I always go through it whenever I find it and just Laugh. What a nerd I turned out to be was. Nolan always makes fun of me (well, the two times I've actually gone through it) and my pure dorky-ness sentimental ways. But then I go ahead and pull out his old Mission pictures and have a great laugh, myself. Good times.
Anyway, something else we accomplished was ordering those Book of Mormon "The Living Scriptures" dvd's. Does anyone else have those? I figured, since I wasn't teaching
them the scriptures, maybe the TV could…JUST KIDDING! I know, I'm evil. We really do teach our kids the scriptures, but I wanted to buy these in hopes it would 'assist' the kids & their understanding the stories. I hope we like them--I guess we'll see. Plus, I'm hoping to just plug my kids in front of those dvds all day Sunday so I can nap and ignore them…Just Kidding.

No joking allowed on this subject!!! It's not funny.
My last, but most important thing to accomplish recently is: showing off my sweet, sweet body today at the pool…you're welcome to all those who got to see it. There will be another showing next week if you so desire…However, I absolutely will not post a picture of that action on my blog because it would forever be seared into your brains and make you cry yourself to sleep at night.
Also, I am not allowed to blog about poop for at least a week--good grief!

thanks for the pool time, that was fun. i'm always amazed at your ability to pull off the tie dye string bikini. i mean, not pull off like take off. naturally. i have the dorky HS box, too. love that stuff. it's great. don't know about the BOM videos, but let me know. i could use some sunday distractions for miss maya so i can get some bloggin' done on the sabbath! :)
I had the BOM videos when I was little and I remember liking them. My mom has bought them for all the grandkids and my girls will watch them but I think it is a required taste. They are much inproved, but they aren't as colorful and bold as Nick or Disney cartoons.. My kids are all three and under, yet still when we pull out them BOM story book at night they are already rolling their eyes. I am open to any suggestions on getting htem interested.
I love pulling out the highschool box. So fun! Don't worry, you looked like a hottie at the pool. Especially when you pulled a Baywatch and jumped in to save my son! Not sure about the movies...but my kids LOVE The Testaments.
Oh Kristi. Just when I need to put a smile on my face, I make my way over to see what crazy things you are your family are doing. You never disappoint.
I like the Living Scripture DVD's they are really good. I had a highschool box full of love letters to old boyfriends. I had to burn them before Kaitlin or Ryan saw them. Ryan knows all of my old boyfriends because we all went to school together. Ryan always talks about what wimps they were and how he "crushed" them on the football field..the male ego it's a beautiful thing.
kristi - that post had me barking. i love it. but why no poop for a week? who is limiting your shares?
What is it with the R Sisters cleaning up. Ang and I cleaned out her study yesterday, can you say WRAPPING PAPER!!! I love to organize and I bet it felt great after. I am a sweater as well, so no worries. Love those DVDS, every time I have taught a class some kid tells me I am wrong because in the "video" it does it different.
I cleaned out my garage too. People were just dumping and I couldn't make my way to the car without tripping!! Love that! I've never bought those DVD's you'll have to let us know how the kids like them.
Those movies are great as long as your children don't gain a testimony of Jeremy. The kid on the Iron Rod movie who got lost and then found his way. I kid you not, but a grown woman bore her testimony of him in Gospel Doctrine after she showed us a clip! And that is why Aaron won't let our kids watch them!
man. If you ban poo for a week I may struggle to tune in. It's all good. You are just keeping it real. :)
I love that old HS and college stuff, cept now it makes me feel like an old hag. bah...
We have the BOM Living Scriptures DVDs. Our kids choose 1 or 2 to watch every Sunday. They've been great, and the kids do learn the stories, though there are a few "inconsistencies." The problem is each one is only about 30 minutes, so not long enough for a Sunday nap, unless you've got Brinley trained to man the DVD player!
i still have a box full of highschool stuff that i look through every couple of years too. i just can't throw any of it away-i never will.
and we need to get those dvds too. i remember my mom having the tapes for my little brothers a few years back and they really enjoyed them.
