How do I Love Thee Football Season? Let Me Count the Ways…

With the change of the leaves and colder temperatures that come with Autumn, so does it also unite people of all shapes and sizes into wearing Burnt Orange, while spending Saturdays in front of the TV. Hooray. The Football season has arrived. The longer Nolan and I are married, the stupider (or more stupid—I ain't smart enuff to knowed which is right) I have become over the years in terms of Football…I'm not sure why that is…

Regardless, Nolan loves his college football. He has loved it as long as he can remember and probably before that. As we were chatting about this year's season (to which I innocently asked, "Who are the year's top goalies?"), I asked him why he loved Football? He replied, "That's like asking someone why they like Salt? Or Sweets? Once you've had a taste, there's no turning back."

Apparently, I haven't been giving Football a fair shot.

But today, I am proud to say I HAVE found a reason to love football: Bless his heart...

Kristi, your man hunt skills amazes me. You truly need to consider giving Dog the Bounty Hunter a lesson in finding top notch male specimens. Thanks to you, I am now hooked on some football. Tell Nolan I'll be over with the nachos and we'll watch the teams at half court. Go Potbellies! Hook them Horns!

Nice potbelly! I'm learning to appreciate football myself. Scott on the other hand...it's his favorite time of year. He grew up in a college town, so I'm sure you can imagine the excitement!

I am laughing my butt off right now. I think I'm starting to appreciate football...or at least appreciate the humor I can find in it. Hehe!

Kris, Nolan is exactly right. Once you get hooked to sports, there is no turning back. I love college football. I think that I'd marry it if I hadn't already made covenants with Kurt. It makes me happy, nervous, sad, and excited almost every week. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT!!! We get it from our Daddy.

HAHA! Man, this is making me feel better about my brand new pregnant ponch. If there were more dudes sporting bellies like this I might watch more football.

I love your hubby's respond to your football question. He sounds just like my husband!

What?! How in the *bleep* did you find a picture of my boyfriend on the side? I LOVE his buddah belly! Just like he loves mine!

I love football season mostly because of all the snack foods that come with it. I love Nachos. I am thinking this is why this particular player loves it too.

Neither Ryan or I get overly excited about football, except when there's a team we know of(like UT) in the national championship...then we watch. I think I must've dated too many football players back in the day, like the one shown here in your blog :o)

is that a HIGHSCHOOLER? my word. A little touch of vanity is in order here. Has he NO shame? He's not even TRYING to hold it in.

Jeff is NUTS about football. NUTS. I'm finding some good books and good blog subjects as we speek:)
I like football...but not 24/7.

Bless his heart is right. (that's what all the southern old ladies would say in Nashville -- after they said the most heinous things about people -- like it made it all OK -- and it fits here!) Still laughing!

My oh my! I am not a big fan of football unless it is playoff time. Luckily I don't have to worry about offending Forrest with my general disregard because he isn't too big of a fan either.

neither joey or i are that into watching football. i mean, we'll watch on occasion, but we aren't big huge fans. joey grew up a surfer/snowboarder/skateboarder. so i think he thinks that he is way cooler than football or something:) j/k

also, in response to that picture: wowsers
