Good Things

Ikea is Number One on my list of good things today. I love Ikea! There are a million things I would love to purchase and the store has so many great ideas on display for the hands-on part of my brain. I can get a little overwhelmed wandering through it because I see SO many things I want to buy, but they're not always from the same motif. I get a little carried away. These were a very few of my favorite things today (as I was scanning for pictures, I realized they don't show a lot of things they carry in their store--bah):

This chair was the kids favorite. They could have played in it for hours. It closes up like a tent, spins in circles, and is designed in fun color combinations. A little spacey, but fun. Another thing I love about Ikea--kid friendly, which I really appreciate.
Number Two on my list is Pluots. I bought some at the store yesterday and my kids and I have devoured them. They were so juicy (like my booty) and sweet. Yum. My new favorite fruit.

Number Three on my list is sorting through my kids old clothes. (ps--this is not our closet). I love sorting through the kid's clothes and getting rid of things they've grown out of. It's very therapeutic, for some reason. The only downside: it leaves more space for new clothes to stuff in their closets. Out with the old in with the new, I guess.

I don't know your favorite fruit either! Did you find that at the regular grocery store??? And I too enjoy going through the kid's clothes. Sometimes sad as I reminise (I know that is spelled wrong but don't feel like looking it up). So many happy memories in the closets!!!

I bought pluots at the regular ol' HEB grocery store. They're a combo of plums and apricots and they are so yummy. I think they're just seasonal, though.

IKEA is fun. Overwhelming though. I have the same prob...I want everything even though it wouldn't match if I could take it home.

love ikea! especially the fact that you can leave your kids in the play area for an hour! really makes shopping easier. good pick on the shelf! we have that in our playroom, filled with toys and baskets of toys and books...it's perfect for that sort of thing. although before we had kids, it was in our front hall with pictures and knicknacks on it...ah, the good old days. i'm excited about pluots, that sounds good. i'm going to have to stop by good ol' heb.
